Hello Everybody! We have some fun new service projects coming up at the Food and Care Coalition that I am so EXCITED to tell you about!
First, we are looking for a few office helpers that will help us get the word out about starting a text cloud with our friends. Once we have that done, we will be able to get the word out to the community for our needs and more, like, CRAZY FAST! This will help so much!!
Second, there will be a HUGE first annual “Shopping”, yep, that’s right, “Shopping Extravaganza” at the new Outlets at Traverse Mountain! The great thing about this volunteer opportunity is that all ticket sales to attend this event go back to the non-profit that sold the ticket. Ticket sales will include special discounts, lunch, a dessert bar, and lots of giveaways for Traverse Mountain Outlet gift cards. Tickets are $15 dollars each and can be purchased here. Make sure that you select “Food and Care Coalition” on your ticket registration form so that we get credit for your purchase. We also need friends that can go up to Lehi to help. They will need ticket takers, door greeters, people to give out lunches, and bussers for the lunch tables, and helping out our booth. There will be a fun energy there!
Third, and always a favorite, have you ALWAYS wanted to serve meals to the homeless? There will be opportunities to fulfill this desire when school starts on a weekly basis. We will have two openings for Monday breakfast servers and several lunch server positions on different weekdays. It will fill up fast, so call me at 801-373-1825 or email me this month.
