Meals

The Food & Care Coalition serves nutritionally well balanced meals seven days a week to Utah County’s homeless, mentally ill and learning disabled, fixed income families, and families affected by tragedy. In 2016, community members contributed canned goods, garden produce, sack lunches, casseroles, desserts, food from catered events, cash and redeemable grocery store gift certificates allowing us to serve 100,092 meals.

This accomplishment would not be possible unless we had a vested community interest. Area businesses, church groups, civic groups, scouts, individuals and families donate 15,000 volunteer hours of service each year. In addition to assisting with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up duties, volunteers often recruit food donors and make frequent donation pick-ups.

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year but must be booked in advance. If you would like to help serve a meal, please contact our volunteer coordinator at 801-373-1825 or by email at [email protected].

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
